The New Dawn: A Journey Begins

New dawn? It’s a fresh start, a new beginning, a revitalization, a promising turning point. I bet a lot of us want that. There is a time for everything.

So how do you move from the preparation to the action stage? How do you know you are entering a new dawn? How do you pivot to that? When do you know it's time to take that step? How do you know it's a new season?

I started reflecting on the past two years with gratitude, as I turn 55 years on earth, feeling like a gladiator who went to war and back with the spoils of war.

What I have learned these past two years came like a flood. The first thing I thought of was having a clear head to refocus and to purge myself so that I could hear clearly from the Holy Spirit.

Purging oneself of unforgiveness, any hindrance that could be a roadblock. Drowning any distraction and noise. Accepting it's a season, though challenging, it is short-lived. There is a time frame. So you can be at peace with God.

When we align, it's easier to commune with God and hear his explicit instructions. It takes learning, trust and obedience.

In that place of communicating with God, ministering angels are on assignment, repositioning destiny helpers.

But our hearts must be right to receive.
God wants to know if he can trust us with the following season. How can he trust us when we have not handled the past season well? You cannot be promoted without succeeding in the test before you.

It's like a performance review at work or, like me, tests, assignments, projects, presentations, and an internship, all of which I had to pass before qualifying to graduate. You have to go through the process.

We don't know how long a season will last. Only God knows, but we must remain faithful, even in little things. Your faithfulness will be tested like Job, Daniel, and Joseph. It’s up to you to decide if you will do it his way or your way. He has given us ability to make choices.

But we must know the time of preparation, the time of isolation, and the time of showing—seed, time, and harvest. Nobody likes waiting but it is part of the process.

Many of us stay in the place of preparation and prayer and are never courageous enough to launch out.

Courage needs strength‼!

There is a momentum, you become unstoppable; you know it's supernatural. Remember David's sling and five smooth stones, and just one stone slew Goliath? There is that bold step to cross into that breakthrough. It will require trusting and obeying your Abba Father.

 It's humbling—a journey of self-discovery.

I had to stay in my small place at school, reading, crying, praying, strategizing, planning a wedding,  being a wife, a mother, a sister, and a mentor to my ladies while at the same time standing in the gap for my family.

I knew there was more to my purpose than what the enemy was throwing at me. I didn't know how it would plan out, but I trusted God to see me through.

It's clearer now; I am glad it's a new season; it's a new dawn. I am no longer isolating. I am done with school and not only done but an awardee of high distinction with a 3.94 GPA.

This is not a joke for a 55-year-old who has been out of real school life for 35 years. Especially when paying international fees, the pressure was on me not to let my family down. I am glad I made them proud. To think I almost gave up.

Nothing good comes easy!!! It will cost you something.

In my new season, I will be more intentional and sociable, build a new network, and expect God to bring me new opportunities.

If you want something you have never had before, you must be able to do something you have never done before.

You must think and see differently; my lenses are different now. I am not as judgmental as before. I am riding myself out of bias. I know challenging days come to us all. But the good thing is that they are short-lived. It's time to turn the pain into gain and purpose.

It's a new dawn!

It's my time to walk in freedom and purpose, impacting my world in my way and in my lane, as my Lord has apportioned for me.

I will obey; I will do his will.

Will you?

Please drop your comments and let me know about your season and any questions or blog posts you would like to see on our website.

Thank you.
