Sisters Keepers

Joined by blood

Brought together by God

Not through the same birth canal

But through cords much stronger

Cords of Faith and grace too

Looking out for one another

Caring Sharing and everything in Between

Standing with one another

Through Joy, through pain

Through life and through death

Forever trusting

Forever believing not the least

Of one another but surely the best

Not in the frequency of daily visits

Not the calls not the texts

But the connection that holds us

Our hearts cry out and reach out

Even before our bodies follow suit

I am watching and waiting

I am looking out for my Sister

For her good and for the best

Turns out to be for my good

And for the best for me

Broken hearts are mended

Problems are shared end solved

We build hearts and homes

We offer hope and promise

Not because we have all it takes

But because we have who it takes

To build the bridges and mend the fences

To wipe the tears and be strong

For when tomorrow comes

We remain Sisters Keepers

Bound together forever.
