Situation Analysis
▪ Is it true that hurting people hurt people?
▪ Are you aware that you are what you think?
▪ Are you aware that what fills you up is what oozes out of you to other people and to your surrounding environment?
▪ So what fills you up? What do you consciously or unconsciously spread?
▪ Are you filled with toxic emotions such as: anger, resentment, bitterness, rage, hatred?
Toxic emotions can lead to serious health problems. Associated risks include: heart disease, high blood pressure, anxiety stress, headaches and poor circulation.
The steps to recovery begin with:
1. Self-analysis and admittance of one’s true emotional state
2. Realize why you feel this way
3. Deal with the issue – this is where you bring the issue to God
There are two reasons why you need to let go of negative emotions: -
1. For the sake of your health
2. It is an instruction from God.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness can be painful and it takes God to wade through the waters of forgiveness. But as painful as it is, the consequences of unforgiveness cannot be comprehended.
I have walked this path before: I was once filled with anger, resentment, bitterness when my marriage failed over 15 years ago……….I have walked this JOURNEY OF PREPARENESSfor over 15 years to get to this point where I know that I may be able to help others through Christ .

Acts 9:15 - But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man (Saul) is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles……”
Prior to the statement above, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. Saul had ruthlessly dealt with Christians; he persecuted them. Yet, Jesus said, ‘……..he is my chosen instrument.’ Jesus forgave Saul and so did other disciples.
According to the instruction of Jesus, Ananias went to meet Saul and said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’ (Verse 17)
Saul did not ask for forgiveness before he was forgiven.
It is unscriptural to tie forgiveness to an apology.
Jesus commands us to forgive – He didn’t tell us to forgive only if the ‘offender’ apologizes. It is our responsibility to forgive and the only way to do this is if we ask the Lord Jesus to help us.
Please note that forgiveness does not validate wrong doing!
Forgiveness is simply obeying God’s word and we do this because we love Jesus.
Forgiveness is a sweet smelling savour: What do you smell of? Are you a sweet smelling savour unto the Lord Jesus or are you a toxic smell?
Dealing with Unforgiveness
Have you reached the point where you are willing to self-analyze? If yes, then I say, ‘congratulations’ to you.
There is nothing as great as coming to terms with ones’ true emotion. If you acknowledge that you are struggling with negative emotion then be assured that God can walk you through this and a new life can be birth from your situation.
Please take this matter to Jesus and ask the Lord to remove the burden from your life. Just speak simple and sincere words to Jesus about how you feel. Do not get tired of having this conversation with God until you see your desired result.
Please feel free to speak with someone about any related issue.
May the Lord keep you in His grace
Shalom
